Compassion in Action: DMF’s Visitation Ministry
Compassion, the heartbeat of Jesus Christ’s Gospel, forms the foundation of Christianity and inspires the Distant Members Fellowship (DMF). Compassion transcends sympathy, driving individuals to take tangible actions that transform lives.

The DMF exemplifies compassion through various initiatives, including visitation. From September to December 2024, DMF executives and the Membership and Outreach Committee organized teams to visit members in Iowa, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
The DMF visitation team comprised:

Visit with Sis. Kou G. Voker in Iowa
The compassionate journey made a heartfelt stop in Iowa, where a team of dedicated volunteers visited Sister Kou G. Voker. This thoughtful gesture brought immense joy, love, and support to her doorstep, wrapping her in a sense of community and connection.
During their visit, the volunteers spent quality time with Sister Voker, engaging in warm conversations, sharing words of encouragement, and offering heartfelt prayers. This meaningful interaction not only lifted her spirits but also reminded her that she is valued, cared for, and deeply loved.

The compassionate journey reached out to Brother Hamilton Zinnah in New Jersey, who was recuperating from surgery. With heartfelt concern and prayerful support, volunteers visited him, providing comfort, encouragement, and reassurance during his recovery period.

Visit Sis. Wonley George in New Jersey
The DMF outreach ministry journey extended its loving arms to Sister Wonley George in New Jersey, enveloping her in comfort, care, and compassion during a profoundly difficult time. Following the passing of her beloved mother, the DMF family rallied around Sister George, offering heartfelt condolences, prayers, and unwavering support.
This thoughtful gesture was a beautiful expression of Christian love and community, reminding Sister George that she is not alone in her grief. The DMF outreach team made a visit to Brother Samuel Summerville Jr. and his family in West Virginia, offering love, comfort and support during their time of bereavement, following the passing of his beloved mother.

Visit with Bro. Senesse Freeman in Maryland recovering from surgery
The DMF outreach team paid a loving support visit to Brother Senesse Freeman in Maryland, offering love, encouragement and comfort as he recovers from surgery. This selfless gesture showed the DMF’s unwavering commitment to caring for its members during life’s most challenging moments.

Visit to Mother Martha Fleming’s family in Maryland
The DMF outreach team made an emotional visit to the family of our beloved Mother Martha Fleming, paying respects, offering condolences and celebrating her life upon her passing. In a poignant gesture, the DMF humbly requested the honor of dressing Mother Fleming in the organization’s membership scarf. This symbolic act represented: our deepest love and appreciation for her remarkable life; her unwavering dedication to the fellowship and its values and her tireless commitment to serving God and the community.
May Mother Fleming’s remarkable legacy continue to inspire and uplift us, reminding us of the power of faith, love and service. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
